LORNE is a fully handmade wooden footstool. It is designed as a small ottoman foot rest for quiet comfort and everyday living.
Every part of this piece is made by hand. This includes the solid wood frame, soft cushion, leather connection details, surface finishing, and final assembly.
Built with solid oak or solid black walnut, LORNE has a clean architectural wooden frame. The frame gives the piece a calm, sculptural presence.
The soft cushion rests above the frame. It creates a relaxed and comfortable place for your feet beside a sofa, lounge chair, reading chair, bed, or nursery chair.
Unlike a typical cushion footstool with a rigid board underneath, LORNE is intentionally made without a hard support panel below the cushion. This allows the cushion to gently sink, shift, and adapt to the weight and shape of your feet.
The feeling is soft, relaxed, and cloud-like. It feels as if your feet are resting on a quiet pillow rather than a hard stool.
The cushion is connected to the wooden frame with 4 mm thick vegetable-tanned leather tabs. These leather connection pieces are hand-cut, shaped, and hand-stitched as part of the overall handmade construction.
They are not only decorative details. They also help the cushion and wooden frame work together while keeping the design soft and flexible.

This piece is designed for foot rest use only. Because there is no hard support board under the cushion, it should not be used as a seat. Please do not sit or stand on this footstool.
